OK, I know this is almost 2 months ago, but I thought I should document the fact that we did commemorate Theodore's First by letting him get messy and eat his first real dose of sugar.
Michael wanted Theodore to have a Family Cake. Luckily my sister was in town and she has artistic skills with frosting. (The cake was kind of falling apart but it still tasted great.)
His face only got that messy because Regina shoved it in the cake. Nobody was too happy about that but it did make for some cute pictures.
I was just surprised that he was really eating it. Most one year olds just play with their cake, but he was shoving it in his mouth pretty good.
He got a toy bus that sings and a new Cars outfit from the Maka's.
And here he is opening the present from us. We had to help a lot and try to keep the other kids away. They were waaaay too anxious.
But it was a huge hit. Way more exciting than the socks we also got him.
Well, there ya go, Theodores First Birthday Party on December 1st, 2010.
